Riyad Mahrez: We don't want to talk too much..and we know what to do

The Algerian national football team, Riyad Mahrez, said during a press conference today that his country has no choice but to win against Ivory Coast in the match between the two teams tomorrow, at the end of the fifth group matches in the African Nations Cup finals groups held in Cameroon.

Mahrez stressed: "The message is simple, we have to win. We lacked effectiveness, we have to be spontaneous in the final touch. When we are in a difficult situation we don't want to talk much, everyone knows what to do."

He added: "In 2019, our confrontation with Ivory Coast was in the quarter-finals, we both had to win, but today it is different, they secured qualification. It will be an open match and different with other accounts."

He continued, "I do not want to lose and go home, I believe in qualifying, I cannot say that we will win, but I assure you that we will do everything we can. I am optimistic and hope to stay here for as long as possible."

Mahrez acknowledged the pressures that the Algerian team is experiencing in view of its position in the group, but he drew attention to the fact that this situation is not new, and that the team has always performed well in these circumstances. While Côte d'Ivoire leads the group standings with four points.
