Elias Pettersson has had a tough season and sometimes received criticism away in the NHL.

But maybe it has come loose for the Swede now.

Most recently, he struck with two goals against Washington when he broke a seven-match goal drought.

Last night against Nashville, it was time again for the 23-year-old.

Pettersson stayed ahead in the middle of the second period when he scored the equalizer on the return.

The goal was his ninth of the season and in total he has scored 20 points in 39 games.

A result that takes him to an 18th place in the Swedes' points.

Vancouver eventually won the match 3-1 after additional goals by Brock Boeser and Juho Lammikko.
