According to press reports in Spain, French star Karim Benzema threatened to leave Real Madrid due to a decision in the transfer market, while Barcelona gave his striker Osman Dembele before making a decision that could include a 6-month sentence.

And the newspaper "El Nacional" said that Benzema had informed Real Madrid president Florentino Perez of his desire to leave the team in the event of signing the Norwegian top scorer Erling Haaland next season.

She explained that the player - whose contract with Real Madrid extends until 2023 - sees that the chances of his participation will diminish with Halland's presence and the expected arrival of French star Kylian Mbappe.

Halland and Mbappe will be accompanied by the Brazilian Vinicius Junior, the triple attacker, if the royal club's plans in the transfer market succeed, which reduces the chances of Benzema's appearance.

The newspaper indicated that Benzema will leave to one of the major clubs in the event of Haaland's arrival, and confirmed that the 34-year-old may choose to return to France from the Paris Saint-Germain gate.

On the other hand, the Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, reported that Barcelona’s management had set 48 hours for Dembele to take a decision, either to accept or reject the offer made to him to renew the current contract that links him with the team until the end of the current season.

The newspaper pointed out that the administration prefers to stick to the French striker and renew his contract, but it will have to negotiate with one of the teams interested in his services to get rid of his huge salary in the remainder of his current contract.

And she indicated that the player's refusal to renew and his insistence on staying would mean his exclusion from the squad in favor of other players, in a move similar to what happened with the Guinean player Eliakis Moriba, who was excluded from participating and pushed to leave the club after refusing to renew the contract.
