Sudan coach: We are still in the championship, and we will correct the path against Egypt

The coach of the Sudanese national football team, Burhan Tia, revealed the reasons for the big loss against Nigeria by three goals to one during the confrontation that brought them together yesterday in the second round of Group D of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations finals currently being held in Cameroon, stressing that “Sudan is still in the tournament and has full chances, And that he will seek to correct the course against the Egyptian national team.” Tia said in a press statement that the defensive mistakes that accompanied the match caused the loss, noting that the Sudanese team has so far scored one point by drawing with Guinea Bissau without goals.

Tia said: The defensive performance of the team was not satisfactory, but we will try to rearrange our calculations and address the mistakes we made against Nigeria and Guinea Bissau, and not to take advantage of the players' opportunities during the match.

It is noteworthy that the Sudanese team won the African Nations Cup title in 1970. Tia described the upcoming confrontation against Egypt next Wednesday as difficult, but he will try to play it without mistakes, stressing that the Sudanese team is still in the tournament.
