For the first time ever, Lucas Braathen wins a slalom competition in the World Cup.

This after a particularly dramatic end in Wengen.

Braathen was far behind, 31st, before the second run stood for a sylvan race.

He looked to get rid of the lead when the big star Henrik Kristoffersen went out last.

Kristoffersen led by just over a second when only meters remained, but then he bordered.

"Did not know it was possible"

The shock victory was a fact for Braathen.

- I did not know that it was possible to win when I was so far behind before the second race.

Words can not describe how grateful I am right now, says the Norwegian afterwards.

He has struggled with injuries and the feelings are palpable.

- It is difficult to do this interview if I am to be honest, he says.

Kristoffer Jakobsen bordered in the first run.
