Josefin Taljegård qualified for Saturday's final program thanks to an 18th place in the short program on Thursday.

Before the European Championships, she had 192 points as the big goal and she had 58.24 points with her from last Thursday.

But when Saturday's free program was completed, it was clear that the dream line was far away.

Taljegård stayed at a total of 164.30 points and after the European Championship debut, there were mixed feelings.

- I'm a little dissatisfied with the total score.

I know so much better and have higher potential.

It's a bit of both, she says.

Taljegård was responsible for two costly misses - two triple salchows - which made the total score lower than desired.

- That is probably why I feel most dissatisfied.

I usually put it and did not this time, she says.

"Has performed very well"

The Olympics in Beijing are less than three weeks and in a few days Taljegård thinks that a message about whether she can go or not will come.

But despite the fact that there was more to pick up today, she hopes for an Olympic venue.

- I have more to give.

Both in terms of placement and in terms of points.

There are many who write that they want to see me there and that I add to the sport.

I still hope and now it is up to our association and SOK (Swedish Olympic Committee), she says.

Do you think you'll get a place?

- I think they will send me.

I have performed very well during the year.

Even though I did not reach 192 points, I got my highest score ever in November, 182. It is not that far off but it is not me who decides, but I think they will do it, she says.

The competition is ongoing.
