Simon Edvinsson has taken the SHL by storm and in pair with Christian Folin has established himself as one of the entire league's best defenders.

He is only 18 years old and the hill with definitely the greatest potential in the league.

He was chosen as number 6 in this summer's draft by Detroit and was with it the highest ranked Swede.

The Frölunda player refers, among other things, to tough quarantine rules.

There are also many indications that there will be a JVM this summer as well, and there Simon feels that he has unresolved business.

- That's a bit why too.

Gets too flashy if I also have to play an Olympics

Edvinsson has recently returned from Corona infection and started contributing to everyday life for Frölunda.

You have not been influenced in this decision by your coach Roger Rönnberg who has been, to say the least, negative about releasing players to Tre Kronor during the Olympics?

- Not affected at all.

Everyone has to make their own decisions.

For me, the Swedish Championship gold and Frölunda are a priority right now.

Then I understand about other players that, for example, my friend Christian Folin wants to drive.

This may be his last chance.

Everyone makes their own decision and people respect it.

Edvinsson has just returned from corona absence and made his first SHL match tonight after the absence and after the JVM debacle.

- Fun to be back but the body feels heavier and you work it up now.
