Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo said that he will continue playing until the age of 42, stressing that he takes care of his physical health, but he made it clear that the greatest focus is on the mental aspect in the next stage.

This came in statements to ESPN, in which he talked about his plans for the future, despite his suffering this season.

The Portuguese player is 36 years old, but he made it clear in his statements that he feels like he is at the age of 30, adding: "I feel this thanks to my taking care of my physical and mental health."

He continued, "I recently learned that after the age of 33 you can maintain your physical health if you want to," adding: "But the real battle at this age is the battle of the mind."

"Focusing on the goals you want is the most difficult thing to do," said Cristiano Ronaldo, adding, "I have been working lately to focus on the mental side while taking care of my physical health well."

"I want to continue playing until 42, but the most important thing is to continue achieving my daily goals by enjoying the moments I'm living in," Ronaldo said.
