The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) saved Egypt from falling into the trap of a draw with Guinea Bissau, and canceled a wonderful goal for the competitor, so that Egypt achieved a difficult 1-0 victory and strengthened its hopes of qualifying for the final price round in the African Cup of Nations currently being held in Cameroon .

Salah scored the Egyptian victory goal in the 69th minute to lead the Egyptian team to second place with 3 points in Group D, which Nigeria leads with 6 points, having previously won 1-0 against Egypt in the first match.

Egypt faces Sudan and has one point from two matches, - the same balance as Guinea-Bissau - in the last match in the group stage.

Egypt dominated the first half and led 11 attacks against Guinea-Bissau, including 5 dangerous attacks. The left post prevented two goals for Mohamed Salah in the 2nd minute and Mustafa Mohamed in the 17th minute.

Salah formed a dangerous right-wing front with Omar Kamal, from which the Pharaohs launched most of the attacks, which were the closest to scoring in the last minutes of the first half through Salah and Amr Al-Sulayya.

Despite the decline of Egypt's level in the second half, Salah managed to score from a direct shot for the Al-Sulayya cross in the 69th minute.

The goal gave confidence to the Egyptian attack and prevented the right post from achieving a goal for Ahmed Sayed Zizou from Omar Kamal's cross.

Mama Baldi surprised the Egyptian defense by penetrating from the left side, ending it with a wonderful shot that hit the right corner of El-Shennawy, amid an objection from Egypt's players because of a violation before the goal.

The referee succumbed to the pressure of the objection and the advice of the video assistant referee and went out to watch the game again and came back to cancel the goal and charge a violation against Baldi, which is a correct decision because Baldi caught the Egyptian defender until he dropped him on the ground.

El-Shennawy saved a second chance for a Guinean equalizer by blocking a missile shot by Moreto Kasama in the spare time.
