Näslund had control of the women's final from start to finish and won with a crushing 1.3 seconds ahead of Fanny Smith.

- It was a very fun course, but also very difficult, says Näslund in the victory interview.

"Feels great"

The Swede has now won all competitions except one this season and is the big favorite for the Olympic gold in Beijing.

- My riding feels great, I will just continue with what I do and hope for the best, says Näslund.

Two Swedes in the men's final

Alexandra Edebo was about to take fifth place by winning the small final, but in a close battle against home skier Brittany Phelan, both fell and crushed each other's chances.

On the men's side, there were two blue and yellow skiers in the final.

Brothers David and Erik Mobärg advanced as first and second from the same semifinal.

David Mobärg's second VC victory

Once in the final, it was David who was the fastest, the Swede stayed in the lead in the messy race, when his brother fell.

The victory was David Mobärg's second ever in the World Cup and he sails up as a challenger for the Olympic medals.

Only one World Cup competition remains before the Olympics, in Idre next weekend.
