According to a press release from the Swedish Ice Hockey Association, the organizer has decided that no participants in the Beijing Games may live outside the Olympic village.

This in turn means that the Olympic troops are limited and SOK (Swedish Olympic Committee) has decided that a maximum of 25 Swedish leaders from ice hockey may go to Beijing.

"Had added a lot"

This means that Zetterberg and Kronwall will be stopped from the Olympics, as will national team manager Olof Östblom, scout and analyst Todd Woodcroft and fitness coach Ida Kyrilis.

- We had set up the leadership staffs that we considered to be optimal, and we would have liked to have seen these leaders follow because they had contributed a lot.

Since then, the pandemic situation has changed the conditions not only for us but for all participating countries, and we must adapt to that, says Olof Östblom according to a press release.
