In 2021, a total of 261 police officers and 131 auxiliary police officers from public security organs across the country will be killed on duty, and 4,375 police officers and 3,420 auxiliary police officers will be injured on duty.
According to statistics, since the founding of the People's Republic of China, more than 16,000 policemen have died in service, more than 300,000 policemen have been injured in service, and more than 3,700 of them have been named martyrs.
In the past three years, 856 policemen died in the line of duty, and 15,527 policemen were injured in the line of duty.
