Stina Nilsson has started to show good biathlon form this winter.

Nilsson finished in 16th place in the sprint in Hochfilzen on December 10 and two days later she finished tenth in the hunt start - her best World Cup result ever.

And after his first visit to the shooting range in today's sprint in Oberhof, some pointed out that a new good result was imminent.

Nilsson shot full in the horizontal shooting and left the shooting range as ninth.

Nilsson did not manage to catch up with the lead in the track, but a barrier in the standing shooter made her finish in 14th place, 46.6 seconds behind the Norwegian winner Marte Olsbu Röiseland.

Thus, she was the second best Swede after Hanna Öberg who finished in ninth place.

The Olympics are approaching

With less than a month left until the Olympics, there have been various tours around Nilsson's possible Olympic venue in recent days.

On Sunday, Aftonbladet wrote that she was ready for the Olympics, something that was quickly denied by the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK) for SVT Sport.

Nilsson himself does not focus on that.

- I do not think about the Olympics.

I think I want to continue my little journey in biathlon and see where it takes me.

If it takes me to an Olympics this year - great fun.

But I kind of do not see that this is my last season.

I see one for the Olympics, as well.

I just want to continue to develop, she told SVT on Thursday.
