The Egyptian Football Association announced that the goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team, Mohamed Abu Gabal, had been infected with the Corona virus, and he was officially excluded from the team’s list, and the goalkeepers present were satisfied. A number of other members of the mission were excluded, including Mohamed Salah, the team's managing director.



And the Egyptian Football Association published the latest update of the injuries of the Egyptian team on the account of the Egyptian Federation on Twitter, in which the announcement of the injured and those excluded from the Egyptian team stated:-


- Positivity of the Egyptian team goalkeeper Mohamed Abu Gabal, Essam El-Hadary, the goalkeeper coach, Mohamed Salah, the managing director of the team, and Ali Mohamed Ali, the team administrator, in addition to one of the mission workers, and the positivity of Ibrahim Adel, in addition to the continuation of the positive smear of Gerard Moore, performance analyst, and Mustafa Sadek The rehabilitation specialist, both of whom had contracted corona before the team’s rally.



The statement stated that the three reserve players (Marwan Hamdi, Ibrahim Adel and Mohamed Hamdi) were called to examine them in anticipation of any situation that calls for their use.



Egypt is located in Group D, along with Nigeria, Sudan, and Guinea Bissau, and the first place in the group and runner-up directly advances to the final price, in addition to the four best third-placed teams in the six groups.
