Tennis player Kei Nishikori has announced that he will miss the Australian Open, the first four major tournaments of the season, due to the damage to his hips.

This was revealed by Nishikori on his Twitter account.

According to it, Nishikori will miss the Australian Open, which will start on the 17th of this month, saying that his injured hips at the end of last year have not completely healed.

Nishikori has been away from the actual battle since he lost the Masters Tournament, which is rated next to the four major tournaments that he participated in last October, in the second round.

Nishikori commented, "The Australian Open is a home-like four major tournament for me, and I'm very sorry. I can't wait to come back next year. I'll do my best to get back to the court as soon as possible."
