Sweden has suffered several corona falls in connection with the training camp before the European Championships.

But the international match against the Netherlands - the first of two, a return match on Saturday - was played as planned on Thursday night.

And it seemed that the Swedish players did not have time to train that much together.

Sweden had a hard time getting a hit back in the first half, at the same time as the attacking game went up and down.

That meant 19-19 at the break.

- It's not good enough.

We have only had a pass of handball together, I do not know if it is a little rust and so on, but it is crazy too bad anyway, said right-wing Albin Lagergren during the break.

He feels no worries ahead of the European Championships.

- No.

It is always the case when we gather in the beginning, that it is a bit bumpy before you find the interactions.

You are not at all worried even if it looks like this right now, Lagergren said.

Sweden rose slightly in the second half and eventually won by four balls.

SVT also broadcasts the second match against the Netherlands, Sweden's last match before the European Championships, on Saturday, 16.00 on SVT1 / Play.

The European Handball Championship starts on 13 January.
