Shim Seok-hee, who caused controversy when it became known that he had demeaned his coach and colleagues during the Pyeongchang Olympics, was suspended from qualifications by the Ice Skating Federation last month.

Shim Seok-hee, who was in danger of being disqualified from participating in the Beijing Olympics, applied for an injunction to suspend the effect of disciplinary action with the court on the 3rd.

In a phone call with SBS, Shim Suk-hee's legal representative said that Shim Suk-hee is repenting of her mistakes and overcame a lot of pain over the past four years and passed the national team selection round in first place. The reason for the application was stated.

If the court upholds the application for an injunction, Shim Suk-hee will restore her national team qualifications, but in order to be included in the Beijing Olympics, she must be evaluated by the Ice Skating Federation Performance Improvement Committee.

If the committee determines that Shim Suk-hee's performance, which has not played in the World Cup throughout the season, is lacking, it may be removed from the Olympic roster.

In this case, Shim Suk-hee has to apply for an injunction again, but it is not easy in reality as the final entry deadline for the Olympics is on the 24th.

If Shim Suk-hee is included in the Olympic roster, one athlete who has replaced Shim Suk-hee must be removed.

The Ice Skating Federation said it would only wait for the court's decision on this.
