Takarada made his debut for the Japanese A national team in the WC 2019 and was also present during this summer's Olympics at home in Tokyo.

- With Saori, we get a national team player who can play in several positions.

I am very fond of Japanese players' perception of the game and ability to avoid running out of time, and Saori is no exception, says Andrée Jeglertz, head coach of Linköping FC, in a press release.

- In our way of playing football, versatility is required of the players and we will use her in positions and surfaces where her passing game and game intelligence do the most good for us.

Takarada was born in 1999 and has signed for two seasons in Linköping.

- I am happy to come to Linköping and very excited about their way of playing.

I will do my best for the club to reach its goals, she says.
