The outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic plunges us back into a situation that has an air of déjà vu with cascading cancellations and postponements of events.

This Thursday, it is the turn of the organization of the Enduropale du Touquet Pas-de-Calais to announce bad news.

"Faced with the 5th wave, the large number of daily contaminations, following the latest government announcements and in agreement with the prefecture, in responsibility, we are forced to postpone the 46th Enduropale du Touquet Pas-de-Calais", writes the city of Le Touquet in a statement released Thursday morning.

The event, which was scheduled to take place from January 28 to 30, has been postponed by one month, from February 25 to 27, 2022.

If the Paris attacks had not prevented the 2015 edition of the motocross race on sand from being held, the coronavirus epidemic had forced the organizers to cancel the event in 2021. To date, there is no is just a postponement.

However, there is nothing to confirm that the test will take place at the end of February, the maintenance being conditioned by the evolution of the epidemic.
