A shocking reason behind the absence of the son of the president of Zamalek from the Egyptian Football Association elections

Zamalek club missed participating in the Egyptian Football Association elections that took place on Wednesday morning, when the son of the club’s president, Ahmed Mortada Mansour, who was authorized by the administration to represent Zamalek in the general assembly meeting to choose a new board of directors to lead Egyptian football for the next four years, was oblivious.

A source confirmed to "Emirates Today" that Ahmed Mortada did not respond to the calls he received during the general assembly meeting, whether for individuals from inside or outside the club because of inattention to sleep, as he put it.

For the first time in the history of the Football Association elections, Zamalek did not participate in the meetings of the General Assembly.

The Football Association requires the 116 member clubs in the General Assembly to send the name of its representative one week before the elections, and the club is not entitled to be represented by a person other than the one who was authorized.
