Medhat El-Meligy, Egypt's ambassador to Cameroon, revealed that he is communicating with the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon directly to secure the Egyptian national team and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in particular during participation in the African Nations Championship, which begins next Sunday, noting that in every request he goes to a Cameroonian side, they ask him for a shirt for Salah, who enjoys With massive popular popularity, not only in Africa, but in all countries of the world, after it reached a high position in European football stadiums.

The Egyptian ambassador told "On Time Sports" that the matter has come to the conclusion that a girl who works in one of the pharmacies from which he brings some medicines to the Egyptian national team refuses the leave and is working on the day of her leave to bring medicines and in her mind that she will meet Mohamed Salah, especially since El-Meligy promised her that he would also try to bring a shirt Mohamed Salah for her.

On the other hand, El-Meligy denied what was announced by the national team officials regarding the postponement of the mission's travel to the African Nations Cup due to the lack of readiness of the reception airport, stressing that the reason was the Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz.

And the Al-Masry tournament website quoted El-Meligy’s statements to “On Time Sports”: “Wael Gomaa contacted me today, and assured me that the technical staff requested that the mission travel on Saturday instead of Friday.”

He added: "Yesterday, a rumor was circulated that the Cameroonian city's air port was not ready, but the fact of the matter is Queiroz's desire."

And he continued: "The hotel of the Egyptian team's residence in Cameroon has limited capabilities, and Mohamed Salah, the administrator of the Egyptian team, said that it is acceptable."
