The Ajman striker was excluded from the list of Tunisia in the African Cup

Ajman striker, Tunisian Firas Belarabi, received unpleasant news, with his exclusion from the list of his country participating in the African Nations Championship, which will start in Cameroon from the ninth of this month until the sixth of next February.

The Tunisian Football Federation said in a statement on its official website that "the medical examinations that Firas Belarabi underwent proved that the muscle injury he suffered with his team requires a long rest and will not allow him to participate in the African Nations Cup."

Al-Arabi was injured during his participation with Ajman against Al-Ahly youth in the return of the quarter-finals of the Professional Cup, with which he was unable to complete the match, to be replaced in the second half by Muhammad Hilal.

The technical staff of the Tunisian national team summoned the Danish Odense Issam Jebali (30 years old) to replace the Ajman player in the Tunisia squad.

Jebali joined the Tunisian national team for the first time in 2018, and since then he has participated in only two matches.

The regulations of the African Nations allow to replace the injured player in such situations, provided that a full medical report is attached containing all the details of the injury, and the period of his absence from the stadiums.
