Novak Djokovic was granted a state of emergency to enter the Australian Open despite refusing to be vaccinated for covid-19.

But when the 34-year-old was going to the country, he was stopped at the airport because he applied for the wrong visa.

The work visa he applied for was not covered by the emergency permit he was granted.

Australian media now write that Djokovic has been denied entry to the country as he has not been able to show sufficient evidence for the exemption.

Information also states that Djokovic will appeal the decision.
