Emirati Al Wahda signs a friend of Cristiano Ronaldo

Al Wahda Club announced that it has signed Portuguese Adrian Silva, 32, on a free transfer for two years, from Sampdoria, Italy, in order to support its ranks for the crucial next stage in which the team is competing for several championships.

Al-Wahda said through his official account on the social networking site "Twitter": "Welcome to Adrian Silva in the homeland of the champions. Al-Wahda Football Club has contracted with Portuguese international Adrian Silva for two seasons."

The statement added: "The club's management wishes the player success and that he meets the goals and aspirations of the leadership, management and fans of Al Wahda Club."

The Portuguese player previously defended the Leicester City shirt from 2017 to 2020, but he did not appear with him much and spent the last season on loan to Monaco, France.

Adrian Silva was in the Portugal squad that won the "Euro 2016" title led by Cristiano Ronaldo, and he also participated with him in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Al Wahda club statement did not specify the place that Adrian will occupy at the expense of any of the foreign players who are currently on the Annabi list.
