The "Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Sports Creativity", one of the "Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives", will celebrate next Sunday the winners in the categories of the 11th cycle of the largest award in terms of value and multiple categories, and the first of its kind dedicated to creativity in sports work that it sponsors. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic Committee.

A statement issued by the Dubai Sports Council said: "The ceremony to honor the winners will be held in the southern hall of the Exhibition and Conference Center at Expo 2020 Dubai, during a ceremony attended by leading figures, decision-makers, Arab champions and innovators who have achieved achievements in the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, and national and Arab achievements."

The statement stated: "About 409 files competed to win the categories of the current edition of the Sports Creativity Course, distributed among the three categories, as 54 files were nominated in the institutional creativity category, 29 in the collective creativity category, and 326 in the individual creativity category, including nine files worldwide. , 165 locally, and 235 Arabs. The nominated files included 300 sports achievements, 29 sports inventions and innovations, 26 scientific sports productions, and 54 sports projects, initiatives and programmes.

The statement added: “The total number of files that were nominated to win the award categories throughout all the award cycles from 2009 to 2021 reached 2,597 from 188 countries, including 748 from the UAE, 1,621 Arabs, and 228 globally, and 258 winners from various fields of work were honored. The athlete, including 124 from the UAE, 116 Arabs and 18 internationally. The number of winning athletes in individual categories reached 188, and the winning teams 21 teams, in addition to 49 institutions winning in the institutional innovation category locally, Arably and internationally.

The honor of winning in the current session was won by seven Olympic champions who won eight colored medals, including three gold, silver and bronze in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, and two gold and silver in the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, while the award during the past ten sessions honored 13 Arab Olympic champions, their achievements amounted to 24 Olympic medals distributed Nine golds, seven silvers and eight bronzes.
