Corona continues his strikes against Liverpool and keeps 3 players away from facing Chelsea

The Liverpool trio, Brazilian goalkeeper Alison Becker, his compatriot striker Roberto Firmino and Cameroonian defender Joel Matip, were left out of the team's list to face Chelsea, on suspicion of being positive, to detect infection with the new Corona virus.

And the British news agency (BA Media) reported that the trio will miss the ranks of Liverpool, in addition to their German coach, Jurgen Klopp, who will not lead the team on suspicion that he is also infected with Corona.

Liverpool confirmed on Saturday that Club assistant Pep Leanders will take over the leadership of the team at Stamford Bridge, but he had to rule out more on Sunday in his preparations for the match.

And Liverpool said in a statement: “Alison Becker, Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip were left out of the squad to face Chelsea today, after doubts about the positivity of their sample in the Corona virus tests.”

He added, "The trio will not be present at the match at Stamford Bridge, and they are now subject to isolation."

And Liverpool continued: “This came in the wake of the news that Jurgen Klopp was not in the leadership of the team after doubts about his own positive sample.”

And he concluded: “The rest of the members of the Liverpool list came negative in the tests.”
