The National Teams and Technical Affairs Committee of the Football Association, during its last meeting after its new formation headed by Hamid Al-Tayer, a member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, recommended to the Board of Directors of the Federation that Dutch coach Marvik should continue with the team until the end of his contract with the team, which ends at the end of Al-Abyad’s participation in the qualifiers next March .

It is expected that the committee will hold a meeting with Dutch coach Marvik after the Football Association agreed to continue discussing the arrangements for preparing the team for a Syrian match, and announcing the official program to prepare the team as well for its remaining matches in these qualifiers.

With the exception of the next Syrian match, the team will have three matches left in these qualifiers, against Iran on the first of next February and against Iraq on the 24th of next March.

Since its final exit from the Arab Cup 2021 on the tenth of this month from the quarter-finals, the team has not played any official gathering or match, waiting for the official program to be announced.
