John Madden, former Oakland Raiders NFL (National Football League) coach and famous commentator, has died at the age of 85, the League said on Wednesday (UK time).

He had taken the reins of the Raiders team as a head coach in 1969, becoming the youngest technician in NFL history at 32 years and 10 months.
