"The total amount of prize payments to the winners and prize-winners of the Games amounted to 823.9 million rubles," TASS quotes Matytsin.

He noted that the competition was held in very difficult conditions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Recall that the Olympic Games in Tokyo were held from July 23 to August 8.

The Russian national team finished fifth in the unofficial medal standings, winning 71 medals.
