Yuki Ota, a silver medalist of fencing, held a training camp in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, in an attempt to train young players who have been selected as representatives of Japan by age group.

Yuki Ota, who won the silver medal at the Olympic Games for the second time in a row and was the chairman of the Federation of Japan Fencing Association, has been holding the training camp every year for the purpose of training young athletes.

Continuing from last year, it was held in Numazu City, which is working on community development through fencing, for three days until the 28th.

At the base facility established by Numazu City, eight female foil players from the second year of junior high school to the third year of high school, who are selected as representatives of Japan by age group, gathered from all over the country to conduct pre-match preparatory movements and analyze them. In addition to learning how to use the data from experts, I was working on a match-style practice on the 28th, the final day.

During the practice, Mr. Ota taught the players how to change their feelings during the match and how to thrust the sword.

Mr. Ota said, "I chose Numazu City because the fencing environment is top class. I asked the players to learn not only about technology but also about teamwork and self-analysis. The environment is ready. Numazu, who has the understanding of the citizens, will surely have Olympic athletes in the future. "
