Rublev fell ill with coronavirus before the start of the ATP Cup

“At the moment I am in Barcelona and, unfortunately, my test for COVID-19 was positive.

As you know, I am fully vaccinated and prepared for tournaments - the ATP Cup and the Australian Open, ”Rublev wrote on his Twitter.

He also reported that he had minimal symptoms.

He is currently in self-isolation.

As a reminder, the ATP Cup will be held in Sydney from 1 to 9 January 2022.

The Russian national team will play in the same group with the teams of Italy, Austria and Australia.

Earlier Tarpishchev said that Donskoy will be the captain of the Russian national team at the ATP Cup 2022.
