Before tonight's meeting, Rögle had four straight wins against Djurgården.

The Stockholm team, which has had a tough season so far, was, however, looking to break the negative trend.

This was done after many ifs and buts.

The event was tight in the end, but Djurgården managed - after losing the lead - to solve the victory after extra time with 5-4.

The win is Djurgården's first since 30 November.

- I think we make a good away match apart from the last 15 in the third period.

We play well and create a lot, says Marcus Sörensen to C More.

Djurgården strong initially

Rögle, who started without Calle Clang, Erlend Lesund, William Wallinder, Tony Sund and Marco Kasper, let in a numerical disadvantage in a goal just over five minutes into the first period.

The puck whizzed the way of the guests and Filip Cederqvist sent in 1-0.

The next goal then came in the second minute of the second period.

Djurgården etched themselves offensively and Ramus Bengtsson fired a shot that was controlled to 2-0.

Just 27 seconds later, Ludvig Rensfeldt extended.

Shortly afterwards, Adam Tambellini reduced.

And more Djurgården would come.

Jonathan Lekkerimäki scored his first SHL goal with five minutes left in period two.

Rögle came back - but Djurgården pulled the longest straw

But Rögle did not give up.

Double goals in the space of two minutes, of which one after clap-clap game signed Linus Sjödin and the other by Tambellini, made the home team breathe hope.

It got tough five minutes from the final signal when Lucas Ekeståhl-Jonsson was shown out.

But Rögle showed attitude and Brady Ferguson found the equalizer at the end of the third period.

The match thus went to extra time - where Marcus Sörensen finally sent in 5-4 to Djurgården in powerplay.

- We have a bit of a hard time defending a management so that it is something that is in self-confidence.

You get a little anxious and go back home and then it's easy for them to take over.

But it is strong of us to win in the end, says Sörensen.

Rögle meets Leksand in the next round and receives Skellefteå.
