It is Serbian Blic who reports that Djokovic will not participate in the tournament where Serbia ended up in the same group as Norway, Chile and Spain, a tournament scheduled for January 1-9, writes Reuters.

- It is 99 percent certain that he will not participate in the ATP Cup.

He trains here (in Belgrade) but he has chosen to give up that tournament, says an unnamed team member to Blic.

Djokovic was selected in Serbia's team, he also played in the Davis Cup a couple of weeks ago, and tennis organizations or Australian authorities have not yet received an answer as to whether he has been vaccinated or not.

However, Djokovic is registered for the Australian Open.

Australian Open begins January 17

To play in Australia, you must be vaccinated against covid-19.

A couple of days ago, the Australian Open's race director, Craig Tiley, stated that he did not know how it was with Djokovic, who won most of his 20 Grand Slam titles in Australia.

The Serb has nine titles in Melbourne.

To play in the Australian Open, Djokovic must present a vaccination passport issued by an independent body.

The Australian Open is played between 17 and 30 January.
