Before the season, Kristoffer Jakobsen had a single podium place.

After two competitions, he has both a second place and a third.

But an injury disturbs the Boden son after a knee operation earlier this year.

- It took a little longer than expected for the knee to heal.

I would have needed at least another month to recover as much as I needed to.

I did not have time to wait on my knee and it probably worked well to drive, he says.

Strength tests show that there is a big difference in strength in the legs.

- When I compete I am completely pain free but I am not really there physically yet.

But does it affect you anything?

- Of course it affects but then it may not be visible on the slopes.

It's a heavenly job that is done all around by physios and coaches to make it work.

I can not do like everyone else and drive on - I have to plan and there is a lot around this knee for it to work so well.

But do you have time to get well during the season?

- No, I have no more than five days rest throughout the season and it is now during Christmas.

But then it's full swing before the Olympics, so it will not be to slow down until March.
