Three ultra Parisian supporters were arrested following incidents that occurred in the stands on Friday during the football match between Paris FC and Olympique Lyonnais, at the Charléty stadium in Paris.

"Investigations were carried out which led to the identification and arrest this morning of 3 ultra supporters," the police headquarters announced on Tuesday.

No arrests took place at the time

These are Parisian supporters, a police source told AFP.

The Paris public prosecutor's office had opened an investigation on Saturday for willful violence within a sports arena resulting in incapacity for work less than or equal to eight days the day after the incidents, which left two injured.

Friday evening, at half-time of the 32nd final of the Coupe de France between the PFC (L2) and OL, smoke was launched around the parking lot of Lyon supporters and fights had broken out in the stands, causing movements crowd, the deployment of the police and two wounded.

Two farm bombs were also detonated and the game was interrupted 1-1 as the second half was about to start.

The CUP condemns

According to a source familiar with the matter, "the Paris SG ultras could be identified on the videos" of the incidents, while the Lyon ultras "wanted to do battle at Gare de Lyon" upon their arrival in the capital.

The latter are in the process of being identified by the Lyon club, which has already started sending stadium bans by mail to several “supporters” present in its yard on Friday, in addition to banning its travel groups.
