The eighth national public ice and snow season with the theme of "Realizing the Winter Olympics and Sharing the Future" was launched on the evening of December 19 in Hubei, Wuhan, Enshi Prefecture, and Shennongjia Forest Regions in the central region. This is also after Beijing, Hebei, Shanghai, After Tianjin and Jilin, the national public ice and snow season kick-off ceremony was held for the first time in the central region.
[Explanation] This ice and snow season is co-sponsored by the General Administration of Sport of China, the People’s Government of Hubei Province, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and the Paralympic Winter Games Organizing Committee. The theme is "Realizing the Winter Olympics and Sharing the Future". Mass ice and snow events such as the "China Ice and Snow Caravan", "National Ice and Snow Open Class", and "Slide to 2022" will be carried out nationwide. This is also the country's largest ice and snow event before the Beijing Winter Olympics.
The achievements of China's ice and snow sports "Southern Development, West Expansion, Eastward Advance" have gradually emerged.

[Explanation] The launching ceremony Wuhan venue is located in Wuhan Sports Center of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Enshi Prefecture venue is located in Enshi Prefecture Lvcongpo International Ski Resort, and Shennongjia venue is located in Shennongjia Forest Region International Ski Resort.
During the ice and snow season, the three places will combine their respective ice and snow resources and regional characteristics to carry out a series of ice and snow sports events, ice and snow carnivals and other activities.

Our Hubei is located to the south of the north-south boundary of our national geography. It can also be said to be a southern province, but more importantly, it also takes into account some of the northern climate, especially the topography of Hubei. We are in the Shennongjia Enshi of Hubei and even our Dabie Mountain. There are more than a dozen peaks in the mountain with an altitude of 1,600 meters. Such a special geographical environment and the north-south climate provide a good demonstration condition for the development of ice and snow sports in Hubei.
[Explanation] Due to natural conditions and other factors, ice and snow sports have been said to be "difficult to get out of Shanhaiguan" in China.
Since the preparations for the Beijing Winter Olympics, the development of China's ice and snow sports has formed a new pattern in which traditional regions have become more popular and emerging regions have become more dynamic.
[Explanation] In recent years, the national people's enthusiasm for participating in ice and snow sports has been unprecedentedly high, and ice and snow sports have developed vigorously, becoming a beautiful landscape of healthy China.
This year's mass ice and snow season will comprehensively showcase the development achievements of China's mass ice and snow sports through a series of ice and snow events that benefit the people, facilitate the people, and benefit the people.
