Malmö defeated Timrå 6-3 in the bottom meeting in the SHL.

The Skåne team started healthy and saved the audience in the home castle Malmö Arena, in the very last league match of the year.

The Dane Matias Lassen introduced himself already after three minutes played when he hit the first of the match with a nice wrist shot by the Dane Matias Lassen.

And barely three minutes later, it was time for Marcus Sylvegård to step forward and slam in 2-0 - his first point in the last eight matches.

Timrå shone - only in others

It was quiet in the arena when the away team reduced to 1-2, a bit sloppy when a bouncing puck looked in behind the goalkeeper Daniel Marmenlind.

Timrå pressed Malmö and managed to equalize through in games in numerical superiority 9.20 into the middle period.

But Malmö wanted to end the game year with a victory.

Oliver Lauridsen stayed ahead and made it 3-2 at the end of the second.

It became a far too difficult uphill for Timrå when Lars Bryggman slammed in 4-2.

The same Bryggman finished 6-3 in open box.

The victory was Malmö's third straight at home - worse for Timrå who collected the fourth straight loss before the Christmas break.
