The Swedish premiere in Gällivare was a success for Leo Johansson, who won both the 15-kilometer classic and the 15-kilometer freestyle.

After that he made his debut in the World Cup and today he was selected for his first Olympics.

- Really fun.

It is great to be able to represent Sweden at an Olympics, that is the biggest thing you can do for Sweden, says Leo Johansson to SVT.

How surprised were you?

- I had hopes but was not quite a hundred.

22-year-old Johansson says that hard training is behind the season's breakthrough.

During the Olympics, he hopes to participate and compete - especially on three distances.

- Skiathlon, 15 kilometers classic and the relay.

I would like to drive the three.

SVT Sports expert Anders Blomquist was surprised by the selection of Johansson.

- I'm a little surprised that they take him out now and do not wait for the next selection.

But on the other hand he has ridden very well, he is young and is a name of the future so it can be a good experience for him even if he may not be allowed to travel any distance.

Was it right or wrong to take him out?

- I think it's right.

We need a rejuvenation in the Swedish men's national team.

In this way, I think it is right in that the elderly have not performed as well as they wanted.
