[Beijing Winter Olympics] Eighty years of ties to ice witnessed the development of ice sports in China
[Explanation] On the evening of December 20th, in the ice hockey arena in Baihua Valley, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, two teams of the "K of Spades" Junior Hockey Team were engaged in a fierce ice hockey confrontation.
The 86-year-old Wu Zhinai is the referee of this game. His fate with ice hockey began more than 60 years ago.
[Explanation] Wu Zhinai was born in Taiyuan City in 1935. He started playing ice sports at the age of 6 and has persisted to this day.
He has personally experienced a number of domestic winter sports events and witnessed the development and changes of ice sports in China.

After graduating from university, he was assigned to the twelfth middle school and became a physical education teacher.
After that, the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Sports Commission assigned me to Harbin to participate in the 1st National Sports Conference in 1959.
At the training class, we became a referee in the training of (former) Soviet experts and Czech experts (part 2).
[Explanation] Wu Zhinai was a middle school physical education teacher. Out of his love and dedication to ice sports, he actively promoted speed skating and ice hockey in the school, and formed the first middle school ice hockey team in Shanxi Province.

In 1959, I was exposed to ice hockey through my studies. After returning, we laid a foundation for the speed skating team and ice hockey team in Shanxi Province.
At that time, we started from scratch. In 1962, our Twelfth Middle School Junior Team held the first school-wide ice sports meeting in the original zoo, now Longtan Park.
We are the first school to include skating and ice hockey in our physical education teaching materials.
[Commentary] Wu Zhinai's love of ice hockey has been integrated into his life.
His sportsmanship also affects the children.

[Explanation] Wu Zhinai, who has taught ice sports all his life, still has a passion for ice sports after retiring in 1998. He traveled to many ice rinks in Taiyuan City to volunteer to teach youngsters to play ice hockey, and cultivated many "good seedlings of ice sports". ".

The old man took my brother and me. We passed by as a duty. He has retired. He volunteers to teach the children ice and snow sports. The basic skills of speed skating are first practiced. Then he calls his students, and some friends, Coach, in this sport, speed skating, figure skating, and ice hockey are all substituted.
[Explanation] From the first National Winter Games to the upcoming 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Wu Zhinai's greatest wish is to dedicate the waste heat, train more talents, and strengthen China's ice sports.
