The success in the European Championships, where Sweden's women's national team qualified for the first time in 38 years and went all the way to the quarterfinals, meant that Sweden is now directly qualified for the European Championships 2023. A tournament that will be broadcast live on SVT.

- It was fantastic fun to see what impact this national team had during the European Championships.

Not least fun that a world star like Isabelle Haak got to show herself properly for a Swedish TV audience.

We are very happy to already be able to secure the rights to the next European Championships, says SVT's sports director Åsa Edlund Jönsson.

But those who want to see the Swedish women's national volleyball team do not have to wait any longer than May 2022. Then the international tournament CEV Silver League is played, where Sweden will face Estonia, Luxembourg, Portugal and Slovenia.

That tournament will also be broadcast live on SVT.

The Silver League will also be the start of the recharging against the European Championships in 2023. In 2018, Sweden won the Silver League and reached the highest level, the Golden League.

There, however, it was only one season, but now Sweden is aiming for the top again.
