Ten matches in the Premier League were postponed this month in light of the outbreak of the infection before the start of the busy holiday period, where each team will play three matches between December 25 and the third of January.
Only four of the 10 matches were played this week after some clubs reported to the League that they could not play with a full squad.
The BBC said clubs were expected to play their matches as long as there were 13 players and at least one goalkeeper in the squad.

The report added that the schedule of the cup matches will witness modifications, despite the negotiations of clubs and officials regarding the cancellation of the replay matches in the FA Cup for the third and fourth rounds, and the reduction of the semi-final matches of the Professional Clubs Cup to one match.
