Hansson lay alongside the American Torri Huske until there were ten meters left when she pulled away at the World Short Course Championships in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

- It was a nicely laid out race by Louise who did not seem to have to push herself too hard, says SVT Sports expert Lars Frölander.

Canadian Margaret McNeal won the first semifinal in 55.45.

Second there was the American Clarie Curzan who had 55.64 which was a new junior world record.

- Just like Louise, she has the capacity to swim below the dream limit of 55 seconds, says Frölander about McNeal.

The only ones who have been under 55 seconds are Sarah Sjöström with 54.61 and Kelsi Dahlia with 54.59.
