The sixth Dubai International Parachute Championships, which started on the ninth of this month, concluded with great success, with the participation of 350 jumpers and jumpers representing 30 countries. The wind tunnel championship, which was created for the first time, was concluded with great success.

The UAE topped the participating Arab teams, achieving first and third places, while the Czech women's team won the wind tunnel competitions.

The closing ceremony was attended by Major General Abdullah Al Ghaithi, Chairman of the Events Insurance Committee in Dubai, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council Saeed Hareb, President of the Air Sports Federation Nasr Hammouda Al Neyadi, Hassan Al Hammadi, Tournament Director, and a number of officials.

In his speech at the closing ceremony, Al Neyadi extended his thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, the first supporter of air sports.

He saluted the efforts of the organizing committee and working committees, and the cooperation of federal and local government departments.

For his part, Major General Abdullah Al Ghaithi praised the UAE’s successes in confronting “Corona” and the openness witnessed in all aspects of life, and said in a press statement: “We are in the Emirates, and thanks to concerted efforts and the distribution of tasks, we were able to organize and secure these events professionally, and we used intelligence. Artificial intelligence instead of wasting human resources, and this is a huge success in itself.”
