On Thursday, 23-year-old Fermbäck took his second straight podium place, and seventh overall, in the European Cup.

The slalom skier finished third behind Katharina Gallhuber, Austria, who came second and Chiara Mair, Austria, who won.

- It felt good, I was maybe a little careful in the second race but still stable riding so I am satisfied, says Fermbäck after the competition.

18-year-old Swede Hanna Aronsson Elfman finished in fifth place in the competition.

Elsa Fermbäck is now in the overall lead in the European Cup with 269 points.

She is most closely overshadowed by Selina Egloff, Switzerland, who is second on 249 points.
