Sophie Hansson advanced to the final in the 50 meter breaststroke on Thursday.

Hansson was second in his semifinal at 29.76.

In the trials, Hansson trimmed her own Swedish record when she swam at 29.57.

I look forward to swimming double distances as I feel very strong in my body, says Hansson after the semifinals.

Klara Thormalm finished last in the same semifinal at 30.33.

Louise Hansson fastest of all in the semifinals

Louise Hansson stood for a giant race in the semifinals of the 100 meter backstroke when she swam at 55.85 and tuned her own Swedish record in the distance and advanced to the finals.

The Swede was the fastest of all semifinalists with that time.

This is the first time Louise Hansson competes in backstroke at the WC, butterfly swimming is her big focus on the championship.

The final of 50 meters breaststroke and 100 meters backstroke will take place on Friday.
