The UAE national team player for people of determination in athletics and arm wrestling, Abdullah Al Sharari, revealed that he allocated a part of his house in the Bidiyah area in the Emirate of Fujairah and converted it into a gym to help him practice sports with his colleagues close to him, by taking advantage of “recycling” for a group of Materials, used in equipping and setting up the gym.

Al Sharari told "Emirates Today" that he resorted to this matter to compensate for the absence of a specialized hall in the region, in addition to his quest to reduce the cost of special sports equipment by 90%, noting that the materials he used were iron, aluminum, wood, plastic, and other redundant materials.

Al-Sharari confirmed that he wanted to provide a gym in his area of residence, as he is unable to travel daily to remote areas where gyms are available, noting also that some of the halls in Al-Bidiyah are not compatible with the nature of the exercises and the specificity of the games that he and his colleagues play.

He explained, "The lack of adequate gymnasiums for the needs of people of determination is an additional reason for establishing my new gym."

He said that the hall does not belong to him alone, despite being in his home, but rather hosts players of people of determination who wish to train, stressing his readiness to also supervise the training of his colleagues who wish to do so, drawing on his experience as he is a licensed and international player.

Al Sharari said that he filmed educational video clips and broadcast them through social media to spread the culture of arm wrestling and the importance of sport for people of determination, as well as to introduce the sports street to the secrets of the game and its laws. He thanked his fellow gamer Jassem Al Matrooshi for supporting his idea and helping him succeed.
