In recent seasons, the top three in, for example, long jump have advanced after five rounds, then the results have been zeroed before the sixth round has completely determined how the top positions are distributed.
According to the new revised "final 3" format, which has been developed in collaboration with, among others, broadcasting companies and the active ones, the top three will now also advance to the sixth and final round, but without the result being zeroed.
All other disciplines in the athletics arena will be stopped while the final round is decided.
A change is also that whoever leads the competition will start each round, instead of ending it.
