It is about three competition weekends: 7-9, 13-15 and 20-23 January.
The reason is, according to Fis, that current covid-19 restrictions in Japan force the decision.
The competitions are canceled on both the men's and women's side.
Westman impressed
Two weekends ago, Frida Westman showed great form when the World Cup took place in Lillehammer.
She landed a 13th place - the best position a Swedish female ski jumper previously taken.
- I had a good feeling already in the qualifiers and was able to bring that feeling into Saturday's competitions.
I tried to focus on mine and do what I should, then it will usually be good.
And so it was, Westman said.
The World Cup competitions in Russian Nizhny Tagil was the 20-year-old's World Cup debut and there she took a 20th and 18th place.
