Sweden did the job against Romania and won the must-win match by 34-30.

But despite the victory, the Swedes' World Cup fate was in the hands of the Netherlands and Norway.

Dutch or Norwegian victory or a draw under 32 goals, would take Sweden to the quarterfinals.

And it became a real thriller.

The Netherlands opened best and led the most with six goals.

But Norway caught up and made it 17-17 at half time.

France is waiting in the World Cup quarter

If the Netherlands started the match best, it was reverse roles in the second half.

Norway quickly switched grips in the second half - and then never let go.

In the end, they won 37-34, to Sweden's great joy.

The result means that Sweden joins Norway in the quarterfinals.

The reigning Olympic champions France are waiting there.

Sweden and France met in the Olympic seminars in Tokyo earlier this year.

- It's a nightmare opponent.

It will be extremely tough, says SVT expert Magnus Grahn.
