Stina Nilsson achieved her greatest success so far as a biathlete when she moved up to tenth place in Sunday's hunt start in Hochfilzen.
Her old sprint colleague in the cross-country team, Maja Dahlqvist, also had a strong weekend when she took her third straight World Cup win in the sprint in Davos.
- One strength is that she can really get out and drill really deep into the basement, you have to be able to do that as a sprinter, says Nilsson.
"Deserves to be there"
She is not surprised that Dahlqvist, 27, is currently the world's best sprinter.
- I have known Maja for several years and competed a lot with her.
I'm not at all surprised that she's getting it now.
She has had this upward curve all the time and deserves to be where she is today.
Ahead of the Beijing Olympics in February, Dahlqvist is a strong Swedish medal jumper.
And the competition in the national team, including Jonna Sundling and Johanna Hagström, makes Nilsson confident before the games.
- What the Swedish sprint girls do is absolutely fantastic.
They have really held their position, so I'm not worried that they would not defend the Swedish flag at the Olympics.
